A Ponte Seca, na Vila Rubim, será totalmente interditada para obras de restauração a partir desta segunda-feira (11). A interdição deverá durar 10 meses. O equipamento ganhará iluminação cênica e restauro na estrutura de aço, além de nova pavimentação, em um investimento de R$ 3 milhões.
Os veículos que passavam pela ponte terão as seguintes alternativas: os motoristas que estiverem na avenida Alexandre Buaiz poderão seguir pela Elias Miguel em direção à Beira-Mar ou retornar para a Vila Rubim pelas ruas Dr. João dos Santos Neves, Marcos de Azevedo e Duarte Lemos.
Outro retorno para a região do Centro é pelas ruas Presidente Pedreira ou avenida República e seguir pela rua Cleto Nunes até a avenida Marcos de Azevedo.
Uma terceira alternativa para veículos de pequeno porte – proibida para ônibus e caminhões – que seguem pela avenida Elias Miguel e precisam retornar para a Vila Rubim será entrar à esquerda na rua Pedro Nolasco, que terá a mão de direção invertida, e seguir na Vila Rubim ou no sentido rodoviária.
Caminhões
Para os caminhões que saem do Porto de Vitória, a opção será atravessar a avenida Getúlio Vargas em frente ao Palácio Anchieta, acessar a avenida Presidente Florentino Avidos e seguir o itinerário normal no sentido rodoviária, Segunda Ponte e Cinco Pontes.
História
A ponte foi construída na década de 20, tem 65 metros de comprimento e pesa 346 toneladas. As peças foram fabricadas na Alemanha e trazidas de navio para o Brasil. Desde então, está ativa para o tráfego de veículos e pedestres. Durante cinco décadas, funcionou como a única ligação entre a ilha de Vitória, Vila Velha e Cariacica.
