Tocar, cheirar, ver, degustar e ouvir. A proposta de um jardim sensorial é “enxergar” utilizando não somente os olhos, mas todos os outros sentidos do nosso corpo. Em junho, mês em que comemoramos o Dia Mundial do Meio Ambiente, a Prefeitura da Serra vai inaugurar um jardim sensorial no Espaço Botânico do Parque da Cidade.

O local terá 170 metros quadrados e contará com plantas com diferentes aromas, texturas e formas, além de ervas e condimentos para aguçar os sentidos. Os canteiros com as plantas ficarão entre duas pistas de acesso, sendo uma que contará com piso de concreto, para os cadeirantes, e outra com pisos sensoriais, compostos por grama, terra, areia, troncos, cascas de madeira, brita e seixos.

“O objetivo da construção do jardim sensorial é ampliar as atividades de Educação Ambiental do Espaço Botânico do Parque da Cidade, para atender principalmente as pessoas com necessidades especiais, estimulando, assim, a inclusão social”, explicou o secretário de Meio Ambiente (Semma), Marcos Machado.
