Ponte Seca vai ganhar Rua de Lazer a partir deste domingo

A Ponte Seca será fechada para o trânsito de veículos e aberta aos pedestres para que os moradores da Vila Rubim e do seu entorno possam se divertir e aproveitar para tirar muitas fotos nesse equipamento tão charmoso da cidade.

A Rua de Lazer na Ponte Seca acontecerá das 7 às 15 horas. Os agentes de trânsito da Guarda Municipal farão o fechamento do local aos domingos para que as pessoas possam aproveitar o espaço com segurança.

“Mais um espaço bacana na nossa cidade. Vamos usar a Ponte Seca aos domingos para atividades de lazer e esporte junto com as famílias. Nossa expectativa é que as pessoas ocupem esse local para se exercitar e se divertir”, disse o secretário municipal de Esportes e Lazer, Wallace Valente.

A Ponte Seca é mais um espaço voltado para a prática de esportes e lazer em Vitória aos domingos. Além dela, os moradores e turistas já contam com as Ruas de Lazer de Camburi e Centro, das 7 às 13 horas, e as ciclofaixas de Goiabeiras, Jucutuquara e a que liga o Tancredão a Jardim Camburi, das 7 às 15 horas.

Revitalização do Centro

“A Ponte Seca é o coração de um intenso trabalho de revitalização do Centro, que conta com as importantes entregas da Casa Porto, Fafi e Rua Viva – Rua Sete, implantação do estacionamento rotativo, despoluição das placas das fachadas dos prédios, entre outras. A ideia agora é que este espaço da ponte também possa ser contemplado pela visita das famílias e que estimule e valorize o comércio da Vila Rubim”, afirmou a secretária de Desenvolvimento da Cidade, Lenise Loureiro.

A Ponte Seca foi restaurada recentemente com novas pavimentação e iluminação, além da reforma das estruturas de aço. Ela é o primeiro vão do complexo de pontes Florentino Avidos, conhecida como Cinco Pontes, inaugurada em 1927.

Com a nova passagem, um vão ligou Vitória à Ilha do Príncipe e seis vãos ligaram a capital a Vila Velha. Durante os pequenos aterros que deram origem às regiões do Centro e Vila Rubim, o braço de mar que separava a Ilha do Príncipe e Vitória desapareceu, dando origem à Ponte Seca.
