As obras de dragagem e derrocagem (retirada de rochas) do canal de acesso ao Porto de Vitória foram concluídas e a entrega oficial foi realizada na tarde desta segunda (02), pela Companhia Docas do Espírito Santo (Codesa).
O secretário de Estado de Desenvolvimento, José Eduardo Azevedo, representou o Governo do Estado no evento, que contou com a presença de autoridades, trabalhadores da Codesa e empresários. Azevedo foi acompanhado do secretário estadual de Transportes e Obras Públicas, Ruy Carnelli; e dos subsecretários da Secretaria de Estado de Desenvolvimento (Sedes) Neucimar Fraga e Sergio Gianordoli.
Durante a solenidade, foi destacada a participação conjunta da Codesa, do Governo do Estado, da bancada federal e dos demais atores para a conclusão dessa obra. “A dragagem e a derrocagem são importantes para a competitividade da nossa economia e agora precisamos continuar caminhando juntos para enfrentar o desafio de, a partir dessa conquista, realizada a várias mãos, atrair uma maior movimentação para o porto”, afirmou Azevedo.
O presidente da Codesa, Luis Claudio Montenegro, agradeceu o apoio do Governo do Estado às obras e ressaltou a vantagem delas para a economia do Espírito Santo, inclusive para a criação de linhas diretas com outros países, como a China.
Obras
De acordo com a Codesa, o contrato de dragagem foi assinado em 2012 pela Secretaria Especial de Portos da Presidência, no valor de R$ 85,6 milhões. Por necessidade de ajustes contratuais entre governo federal e o consórcio da obra, ela foi paralisada no início de 2015 e retomada no primeiro semestre de 2016. Foram dragados quase 2 milhões de metros cúbicos e derrocados mais de 110 metros cúbicos de pedras. O valor final da obra ficou em R$ 118 milhões.
A estimativa do presidente da Codesa, Luis Claudio Montenegro, é de que as novas profundidades do canal, dos berços e da bacia de manobra garantirão o acesso de navios maiores, que irão representar um aumento de 30% na movimentação de carga no Porto de Vitória.
A batimetria do canal e dos berços – medição de profundidade, já foram homologadas pela Marinha e a documentação enviada à Capitania dos Portos do Espírito Santo para alteração na Normap I, que estabelece os calados operacionais. Após a homologação, será feito o projeto de sinalização náutica para apreciação pela Capitania e Praticagem e, em seguida, a execução do serviço.
