Vale assina termo e estuda recuperação do final da praia de Camburi

O Ministério Público Federal, Estadual, a Prefeitura de Vitória, Governo do Estado e a mineradora Vale assinaram um acordo para a recuperação da região que fica no extremo norte da Praia de Camburi.  O termo prevê a limpeza da área e a construção de dois parques. A faixa de areia que não é banhada deverá ser limpa, já que no local há sedimentos de minério da empresa por conta de atividades do passado. Os projetos têm até seis meses para serem apresentados aos órgãos ambientais e, assim, serem aprovados.

O projeto prevê a instalação de dois parques:  o Costeiro, um espaço voltado para a educação ambiental, e o Zé da Bola, com o objetivo de levar lazer e espotes para os frequentadores do local. Existe ainda o compromisso da proteção da restinga da região Norte e um estudo para a recuperação da erosão na região Sul.

Toda a elaboração e a execução dos projetos serão acompanhados por uma comissão formada por membros dos órgãos que assinam o termo e representantes da comunidade.

O  trecho a ser recuperado fica localizado entre a Rua José Celso Cláudio e o final da praia.
