Mucane recebe exposição fotográfica produzida com jovens do Odomodê

Promover o resgate e a valorização da cultura afrobrasileira e africana, trabalhar o enfrentamento do racismo e fomentar o desenvolvimento socioeconônico dos empreendedores negros e negras. Esses são alguns dos objetivos do ensaio fotográfico que aconteceu nesta quinta-feira (16) com os jovens atendidos pelo projeto Núcleo Afro Odomodê, em Forte São João.

O ensaio contou com a participação de 15 jovens que frequentam o espaço. Para o ensaio, os modelos utilizaram roupas, acessórios, turbantes e penteados que valorizam a população negra. Segundo o articulador social do Odomodê, Diego Miranda, a iniciativa integra as ações alusivas ao Dia Internacional da Luta contra a Discriminação Racial, celebrado no dia 21 de março.

“A intenção do ensaio é melhorar a autoestima dos jovens e mostrar que os negros também podem ocupar esses espaços. Além disso, visa ao fortalecimento e à divulgação das marcas negras locais e dos profissionais que trabalham para a desconstrução do racismo e o combate das intolerâncias por meio da valorização étnica”, disse.

A estudante Eva Sena, 16, que frequenta o projeto há pouco mais de um ano, foi uma das modelos e aprovou a iniciativa: “Gostei muito de participar da sessão de fotos e poder posar com modelos que resgatam a nossa cultura. O Odomodê está sempre inovando nas ações”, disse.

O estudante Filipe de Souza Rocha, 18, também gostou da experiência: “Foi a primeira vez que participei de um ensaio fotográfico, e achei a experiência muito interessante e divertida. Além de posar, recebemos dicas de como combinar roupas, penteados e acessórios”, revelou.

A ação foi uma realização do projeto Núcleo Afro Odomodê, em parceria com o espaço para empreendedores negros e negras “Ponto Black” e o fotógrafo Jove Fagundes. O resultado do ensaio poderá ser conferido na exposição que será realizada na próxima terça-feira (21), a partir das 18 horas, no Museu Capixaba do Negro (Mucane) Verônica da Pas, no Centro.
