Merkel não consegue formar coalizão para governar a Alemanha

A chanceler alemã Angela Merkel enfrenta uma crise política porque não consegue reunir número suficiente de apoiadores no parlamento.  Na noite deste domingo (19), os liberais alemães anunciaram a saída das negociações para formar uma coalizão com o objetivo de governar o país. Há pouco mais de um mês, quatro partidos alemães vinham mantendo negociações. A saída dos liberais deixou a chanceler Angela Merkel em situação complicada. Os pontos de maior discordância entre os partidos foram as políticas para os refugiados e as questões ambientais.

Em setembro deste ano, após vencer as eleições alemãs sem ter a maioria dos votos, Merkel já sabia que enfrentaria um desafio: conseguir formar a coalizão para governar.

Na madrugada desta segunda (20), a chanceler afirmou que lamentava o fracasso, por considerar que “o ritmo das conversações indicava que seria possível chegar a um acordo”. Os verdes acusaram os liberais de intransigência.

A tentativa de formar uma coalizão entre conservadores (CDU/CSU), liberais e “verdes”, apelidada de “Jamaica”, por causa das cores dos partidos e da bandeira do país jamaicano (preto: CDU, amarelo: FDP e verde: Os Verdes), não se concretizou. Os liberais, após extensas tentativas de acordo, anunciaram que não foi possível chegar a um consenso.

“É melhor não governar do que governar mal”, afirmou o líder liberal do FDP, Christian Lindner, que lembrou divergências insanáveis entre os três partidos. Lindner disse ainda que os partidos não compartilhavam o mesmo ponto de vista e que, após as conversas, haviam ficado “muitas inconsistências, questões e conflitos sem resposta”.

Com a oposição dos sociais democratas (SPD), liderados por Martin Schulz (principal adversário de Merkel nas eleições) e do AfD, partido de extrema-direita, restava à chanceler formar uma coligação suficientemente forte para governar.

Com a saída dos liberais, forma-se um momento político delicado para Merkel, que pode acabar, inclusive, em novas eleições. Em princípio, analistas traçam três possíveis situações: ou Merkel tenta governar com uma coligação minoritária (se unindo aos Verdes, apenas), ou tenta persuadir o SPD de Schulz para formar uma coligação majoritária e poder governar com mais efetividade, ou novas eleições podem ser convocadas.

“Como chanceler, farei tudo para garantir que esse país seja bem gerenciado nas próximas semanas. Nós pensamos que estávamos no caminho para encontrar uma solução”, disse Merkel.

Na manhã desta segunda (20), Angela Merkel esteve com o presidente alemão, Frank-Walter Steinmeier, para informar formalmente sobre o fracasso das negociações.
