O Produto Interno Bruto (PIB), que é a soma de todos os bens e serviços produzidos no país, fechou 2016 com queda de 3,6%.
Em 2015, a economia brasileira já tinha recuado 3,8%. Segundo dados divulgados hoje (7), no Rio de Janeiro, pelo Instituto Brasileiro de Geografia e Estatística (IBGE), o PIB de 2016 ficou em R$ 6,3 trilhões. De acordo com o IBGE, os números do PIB de 2015 e 2016 representam a maior recessão desde 1947.
Segundo a coordenadora de Contas Regionais do IBGE, Rebeca Palis, já houve anos em que a retração foi maior que a de 2016, mas nunca a economia brasileira havia somado 7,2% de queda em um biênio.
“A magnitude da queda, olhando o biênio, é a maior desde 1948”, disse Rebeca, que explicou que a série histórica do IBGE para o PIB começa em 1947, mas apenas em 1948 há dado de variação anual.
“Em outros períodos, algumas atividades econômicas davam uma segurada na economia. Nesse biênio, foi disseminado na economia toda, o que não é muito comum de acontecer. Serviços foram muito afetados, o que não acontecia muito”, afirmou.
O resultado negativo dos dois anos fez o PIB do país voltar para o patamar registrado no terceiro trimestre de 2010, segundo o IBGE.
No último trimestre de 2016, o PIB recuou 0,9% em relação ao trimestre anterior e caiu 2,5% na comparação com o mesmo período do ano anterior.
Agropecuária cai 6,6%
O setor da economia que sofreu a maior queda em 2016 foi a agropecuária, com contração de 6,6%. Na indústria, a queda foi de 3,8%. Segundo o IBGE, o segmento de serviços recuou 2,7%.
Se analisado apenas o quarto trimestre, houve queda na indústria (-0,7%) e nos serviços (-0,8%) em relação ao terceiro trimestre do mesmo ano. Nessa base de comparação, houve crescimento de 1% na agropecuária.
Já na comparação do quarto trimestre com o mesmo período de 2015, todos os setores caíram, com destaque para o recuo de 5% na agropecuária. Indústria e serviços apresentaram retração de 2,4%.
O desempenho negativo da agropecuária no ano passado deveu-se ao desempenho da agricultura. Na indústria, houve queda de 5,2% na construção e de 2,9% na indústria extrativa mineral. Os resultados foram positivos nas atividades de eletricidade e gás, esgoto e limpeza urbana, com crescimento de 4,7%.
Os serviços foram puxados para baixo pela recuo do comércio, de 6,3%, e pelo resultado negativo dos outros serviços, de 3,1%. Atividades imobiliárias avançaram 0,2%.
