Mirante do Romão ganha nova iluminação

A Prefeitura de Vitória melhorou a iluminação no Mirante do Romão. Foram instaladas 13 luminárias de vapor metálico de 250 kilowatts de potência, cada. A medida garante mais segurança ao local. Com a nova iluminação, a relação da comunidade com o espaço melhorou e mais pessoas estão se encontrando no local, que também ganhou recentemente um ponto de wi-fi do Vitória Online para acesso gratuito à internet.

“A iluminação aqui antes era muito precária. Agora, parece que a noite virou dia. Com isso, as pessoas se sentem mais seguras para passear por aqui novamente. Não só os jovens andam por aqui, mas pessoas de todas as idades”, declarou o líder comunitário Marcelo Santana Cabral, morador do Romão há 40 anos.

Para o secretário da Setran, Oberacy Emmerich, um dos principais objetivos com as melhorias na iluminação de Vitória é contribuir para aproximar mais as pessoas da cidade. “Queremos ver pessoas nas ruas, nas praças e nos mirantes. E pessoas de todas as idades: jovens, crianças, idosos… É importante que as famílias se apropriem dos espaços públicos”, afirmou.

Rebaixamento de piso

Outra intervenção recente no Romão favoreceu a mobilidade urbana. O piso da rua José Martins da Silva foi rebaixado em até cinco metros, reduzindo a inclinação da rampa que impedia o acesso de veículos de grande porte na principal via do bairro. Com a conclusão da obra, caminhões e ônibus podem circular na via, que é o único acesso para 3 mil moradores do Romão a partir da avenida Vitória, passando pela rua Ormando Aguiar, no bairro Forte São João.
