Indústria cai em maio em oito dos 14 locais pesquisados, diz IBGE

A estagnação na indústria brasileira entre abril e maio deste ano (crescimento nulo – 0%) reflete resultados negativos na atividade do parque fabril brasileiro em oito dos 14 locais pesquisados, na série com ajuste sazonal.

A constatação é da Pesquisa Indústria Mensal – Produção Física Regional, divulgada hoje (7) pelo Instituto Brasileiro de Geografia e Estatística (IBGE). O levantamento indica que os recuos mais intensos ocorreram no Paraná, onde a queda na produção industrial chegou a 3,5%; seguido de Goiás (-2,3%); Pará (-1,9%); e São Paulo (-1,6%).

Pernambuco (-1,1%), Minas Gerais (-0,9%), Bahia (-0,3%) e Rio de Janeiro (-0,1%) completam o conjunto de locais com índices negativos.

Na outra ponta, o estado do Amazonas foi o que registrou o maior crescimento industrial do mês de maio, com alta de 16,2%, depois de ter fechado abril em queda, também expressiva, de 12,5%. As demais taxas positivas são do Rio Grande do Sul, com crescimento de 4,4%; Espírito Santo (3,8%), região Nordeste (1,6%), Ceará (1,4%) e Santa Catarina (0,1%).

Acumulado

Os dados divulgados pelo IBGE indicam que a retração acumulada de 9,8% na média nacional da produção industrial brasileira, nos primeiros cinco meses do ano (janeiro-maio), reflete quedas em 12 dos 15 locais pesquisados, frente a igual período do ano anterior.

Três deles mostram quedas com intensidade superior à média nacional, tendo à frente o Espírito Santo, cuja retração chegou a significativos 11,8 pontos percentuais acima da média nacional; seguido do Amazonas (-18,8%); e de Pernambuco (-18,7%). A queda registrada no estado de São Paulo foi a mesma da média nacional: 9,8%.

Também fecharam com resultados negativos no acumulado dos primeiros cinco meses do ano, embora com retrações abaixo da média nacional, o Rio de Janeiro (-9,5%), Minas Gerais (-9,4%), Paraná (-8,9%), Goiás (-8,1%), Santa Catarina (-7,3%), Rio Grande do Sul (-6,2%), Ceará (-5,8%) e região Nordeste (-3,2%).

Segundo o IBGE, o menor dinamismo foi influenciado por fatores relacionados à diminuição na fabricação de bens de capital (em especial aqueles voltados para equipamentos de transportes: caminhão-trator para reboques e semirreboques, caminhões e veículos para transporte de mercadorias); bens intermediários (autopeças, produtos de minerais não-metálicos, produtos têxteis, produtos siderúrgicos, produtos de metal, petroquímicos básicos, resinas termoplásticas e defensivos agrícolas); bens de consumo duráveis (automóveis, eletrodomésticos da “linha branca” e da “linha marrom”, motocicletas e móveis); e bens de consumo semi e não-duráveis (calçados, produtos têxteis, vestuário e bebidas).

Pará (9,6%), Mato Grosso (7,4%) e Bahia (1,2%) assinalaram foram os três estados que fecharam com crescimento no resultado acumulado até maio pela indústria do país. Neste caso, impulsionados pelo comportamento positivo vindo de indústrias extrativas (minérios de ferro em bruto), no caso do Pará; de produtos alimentícios (carnes de bovinos congeladas, frescas ou refrigeradas, óleos de soja em bruto e tortas, bagaços, farelos e outros resíduos da extração do óleo de soja), no Mato Grosso; e de coque, produtos derivados do petróleo e biocombustíveis (óleo diesel e gasolina automotiva) e metalurgia (barras, perfis e vergalhões de cobre e de ligas de cobre), na Bahia.

Regiões

Os dados regionalizados da indústria indicam que a queda acumulada de 7,8% em maio deste ano, comparativamente a maio do ano passado reflete resultados negativos em 12 dos 15 locais pesquisados pelo IBGE, na série sem ajuste sazonal. O instituto ressalta o fato de que maio deste ano teve 21 dias úteis, 1 a mais do que o mesmo mês do ano passado (20 dias).

Nesta base de comparação, entre os 12 estados que fecharam em queda, a retração mais intensa foi registrada no Espírito Santo, onde a queda chegou 18,9%; seguido do Paraná (-11%). No caso do Espírito Santo a retração foi pressionada pela queda na produção dos setores de indústrias extrativas (minérios de ferro pelotizados); enquanto no Paraná, a influência veio de coque, produtos derivados do petróleo e biocombustíveis (óleos combustíveis, óleo diesel, álcool etílico e gasolina automotiva).

Também fechou com queda superior aos 7,8% da média nacional, o estado de Goiás, onde a retração chegou a 8,5%. Os outros resultados negativos, embora com retrações abaixo da média nacional são o Rio de Janeiro (-7,6%), Minas Gerais (-7,2%), Amazonas (-6,3%), Santa Catarina (-6,2%), São Paulo (-5,8%), Pernambuco (-3,8%), Rio Grande do Sul (-3,6%), Bahia (-2,9%) e Ceará (-2,3%).

Já os estados do Mato Grosso (14,6%) e Pará (7,8%) assinalaram os avanços mais elevados em maio de 2016. No primeiro, o resultado positivo foi impulsionado pelo comportamento positivo vindo de produtos alimentícios (carnes de bovinos congeladas, frescas ou refrigeradas, óleo de soja em bruto e tortas, bagaços, farelos e outros resíduos da extração do óleo de soja) e de coque, produtos derivados do petróleo e biocombustíveis (álcool etílico). Já no Pará, a influência veio da do setor de indústrias extrativas (minérios de ferro em bruto. Já a região Nordeste, como um todo, fechou com ligeiro crescimento de 0,3%.
