Vitória vai vacinar toda a população do município contra a febre amarela em uma ação preventiva que teve início na tarde desta sexta (24). Amanhã (25), segunda (27) e quarta (1º), a vacinação acontece em três escolas da rede municipal, das 8 às 16 horas:
Escola Municipal de Ensino Fundamental (Emef) Aristóbulo Barbosa Leão, na avenida Vitória, nº 3010, em Bento Ferreira;
Emef Maria José Costa Moraes, na rodovia Serafim Derenzi, nº 4449, em São José;
Emef Elzira Vivácqua dos Santos, na rua Italina Pereira Motta, 501, em Jardim Camburi.
Após o Carnaval, a vacinação ocorrerá nas 28 unidades de saúde de Vitória, das 8 às 16 horas, de segunda a sexta-feira. O agendamento on-line continua como ação complementar ao controle da febre amarela. Para ser vacinado, é preciso apresentar Carteira de Identidade e cartão de vacinação.
“Nós vínhamos organizando essa ação e, agora, vamos intensificar o trabalho para que todos sejam vacinados”, afirma a gerente de Vigilância em Saúde, Arlete Frank Dutra.
Vitória não registra casos de febre amarela em humanos
A gerente lembra que não há casos de febre amarela registrados em humanos na capital, apesar de o resultado do macaco encontrado na cidade ter sido positivo para o vírus da doença silvestre.

Como há parques com áreas de mata em Vitória, o município irá mantê-los fechados, a partir deste sábado (25), até que o trabalho de vacinação seja concluído. São estes:

Em Vitória, 50 mil pessoas foram vacinadas contra a febre amarela, e há doses suficientes para todos os moradores. A Secretaria Municipal de Saúde (Semus) pretende completar a vacinação de todos os moradores até o próximo dia 10. “Não faltará vacina, pois fizemos um planejamento para essa imunização e temos material suficiente para que todos sejam vacinados”, explica Arlete Frank.
Orientações
O Ministério da Saúde esclarece que não há problema de interação medicamentosa entre a vacina e outros medicamentos, podendo haver reações no local da injeção, como febre e mal-estar. Bebês podem ser vacinados a partir dos seis meses de idade, quando a criança reside em uma área em que há morte de macacos com suspeita de febre amarela e na área em que há casos de febre amarela silvestre. Mas, fora dessas situações, o calendário de vacinações indica a partir de nove meses de idade.
A vacina não é recomendável para pessoas que estão com baixa imunidade. Para quem esteve doente, depende de avaliação médica. São casos como aqueles de pessoas que estão em tratamento de câncer, por exemplo, e que estão tomando drogas imunossupressoras, como corticoides com dosagens elevadas.
Há contraindicação para a vacinação em gestante, e o cuidado deve também ser estendido a quem está tentando engravidar pois já pode estar grávida e, assim, não pode tomar a vacina nesse período.
Alguns cuidados devem ser tomados durante os primeiros 10 dias após a imunização. É sabido que o aumento de temperatura eleva consequentemente a quantidade de chuvas, e isso tem influência no aumento da população dos mosquitos, que são os vetores da doença. “Os macacos são apenas sinalizadores de que há o vírus, eles não são vetores”, reforça a gerente.
Não existe transmissão de pessoa para pessoa, nem de macaco para pessoa. A doença é sempre transmitida pelo mosquito contaminado.
A vacina assegura 100% de imunização, após o 10º dia de aplicação, e essa proteção dura 10 anos. Durante esse período, a pessoa deve prestar atenção a sintomas como febre, dor de cabeça, dor no corpo e dor abdominal. Nessa situação, deve-se procurar um serviço de saúde.
