A Polícia Rodoviária Federal registrou queda no número de mortes na Operação Tiradentes deste ano em comparação a 2015. Este ano apenas uma pessoa morreu nas estradas capixabas. Ano passado foram oito. O número de feridos também caiu de 65 para 35.
No período de 20 a 24/04/2016 foram registrados 35 acidentes, sendo 5 deles, graves, 35 pessoas feridos e 1 morte. Na Operação Tiradentes do ano passado, de 17 a 21/04/2015, foram registrados 95 acidentes, sendo 15 deles graves, e 8 mortos
No início da Operação, a PRF apreendeu 3 kg de maconha, escondidos em uma mala no bagageiro externo de um ônibus interestadual, que tinha como destino a região metropolitana de Vitória.
1.288 testes de etilômetro foram realizados, sendo que 20 motoristas foram autuados e 2, presos.
2.708 imagens de veículos que excederam o limite de velocidade regulamentado para a rodovia foram capturadas.
994 motoristas foram autuados, sendo 332 deles por ultrapassagem proibida e 153 por não utilizar cinto de segurança. Um motorista foi flagrado, no município de Guarapari, a 140 km/h em um trecho com limite de velocidade de 80 km/h.
1.740 pessoas foram sensibilizadas em ações de educação para o trânsito, como abordagens educativas, cinema rodoviário e palestras sobre segurança viária

Na manhã de domingo (24), no município de Guarapari, a PRF flagrou 2 homens amarrando a haste do radar sobre a carroceria de uma caminhonete. O material é parte integrante do equipamento de radar fotográfico (fixo) instalado à margem da rodovia. Eles tentaram convencer os policiais de que possuíam autorização da concessionária ECO101 para tomar posse do material. Após confirmações com a concessionária de que não havia qualquer tipo de anuência ou autorização por parte da empresa para retirada ou transporte do referido material os dois indivíduos foram presos e encaminhados à Delegacia de Polícia Civil de Guarapari.
