ES tem 137 casos de microcefalia

Repórter Capixaba Espírito Santo, Grande Vitória 474

O Espírito Santo, até o momento, tem 3.654 casos de infecção pelo zika vírus. O Laboratório Central (Lacen) recebeu 1.340 amostras para análise e, deste total, 139 deram resultado positivo, 678 acusaram negativo e 523 estão em análise.  Os municípios que apresentam casos de zika confirmados laboratorialmente são Alto Rio Novo, Aracruz, Barra de São Francisco, Cachoeiro de Itapemirim, Cariacica, Castelo, Colatina, Domingos Martins, Fundão, Guarapari, Iconha, Irupi, Itaguaçu, Itarana, Mantenópolis, Marechal Floriano, Muniz Freire, Nova Venécia, Pinheiros, Presidente Kennedy, Santa Teresa, São José do Calçado, Serra, Viana, Vila Velha e Vitória.

O Lacen analisa, prioritariamente, amostras de gestantes com suspeita de doença exantemática (vermelhidão na pele); de pacientes internados com complicações neurológicas e de pacientes graves, ambos quando apresentarem quadro de doença exantemática prévia ou vigente; investigação de óbito; investigação de microcefalia e bebês de mães que tiveram suspeita de doença exantemática durante a gravidez, além de amostras enviadas por municípios que ainda não têm confirmação laboratorial de zika. Os demais casos são confirmados por clínica epidemiológica, não necessitando de exame laboratorial.

Microcefalia

A Secretaria de Estado da Saúde informa, ainda, que entre 22 de novembro de 2015 e 07 de maio de 2016 foram notificados no Espírito Santo 137 casos de microcefalia em bebês nascidos vivos, natimortos ou em gestação. Destes, 91 permanecem em investigação, 36 foram descartados e 10 foram confirmados para microcefalia.

Todos os casos estão sendo investigados. Vale ressaltar que a microcefalia pode ser causada por diversos agentes infecciosos além do vírus zika, tais como sífilis, toxoplasmose, rubéola, citomegalovírus e herpes viral.

Saiba como se prevenir

– Limpar o quintal, jogando fora o que não é utilizado;
– Tirar água dos vasos de plantas;
– Colocar garrafas vazias de cabeça para baixo;
– Tampar tonéis, depósitos de água, caixas d’água e qualquer tipo de recipiente que possa reservar água;
– Manter os quintais bem varridos, eliminando recipientes que possam acumular água, como tampinha de garrafa, folhas, sacolas plásticas etc.;
– Escovar bem as bordas dos recipientes (vasilha de água e comida de animais, vasos de plantas, tonéis, caixas d’água) e mantê-los sempre limpos.
