Vitória vai realizar vacinação domiciliar contra a febre amarela

Vinte e um bairros de Vitória que apresentaram baixa cobertura vacinal contra a febre amarela vão receber visitas domiciliares das equipes das unidades de saúde para identificar e vacinar moradores que ainda não buscaram os serviços para se imunizar. A ação começará em julho e deve se estender também durante o mês de agosto.

Os bairros são: Andorinhas, Bairro de Lourdes, Maruípe, Santa Cecília, Santos Dumont, Nazareth, Ilha de Santa Maria, Jucutuquara, Fradinhos, Santo Antônio, Mario Cipreste, Bela Vista, Bairro do Quadro, Vila Rubim, Santa Tereza, Fonte Grande, Piedade, Grande Vitória, Universitário, Jardim Camburi e Maria Ortiz.

Em Vitória, foram imunizadas 324.856 pessoas, mas parte desse número se refere a atendimentos de moradores de outros municípios. Segundo dados da Vigilância Epidemiológica, a cobertura vacinal contra a febre amarela é de 91%. A meta é atingir 100% de uma população elegível para a vacina, estimada em 333 mil moradores.

“A ação será executada pela equipe de enfermagem das unidades de saúde sempre com o apoio dos agentes comunitários de saúde, naqueles territórios com cobertura da Saúde da Família, e também dos agentes de endemias para as unidades que não contam com agentes de saúde. Essas equipes vão percorrer as residências e condomínios de vários bairros para vacinação domiciliar com objetivo de imunizar as pessoas que ainda não receberam a vacina”, explicou a coordenadora do Programa de Imunização de Vitória, Rúbia Bonela.

A decisão ocorreu após o Monitoramento Rápido de Cobertura (MRC) da vacina contra a febre amarela realizado em 134 pontos da capital apontar que ainda há muitos moradores sem se vacinar. O monitoramento foi realizado nos meses de maio e junho abrangendo todas as seis regiões de saúde do município.

No Espírito Santo a vacinação está recomendada nos 78 municípios devido a ocorrência de casos e óbitos confirmados de febre amarela em humanos e mortes de primatas não humanos.
