Sesa divulga boletim de Zika e microcefalia

A Secretaria de Estado da Saúde (Sesa) informou nesta quinta (24) que foram notificados no Espírito Santo, de 2015 até o momento, 4.088 casos de infecção pelo zika vírus. Os municípios que apresentam casos de zika confirmados são Alto Rio Novo, Aracruz, Barra de São Francisco, Cachoeiro de Itapemirim, Cariacica, Castelo, Colatina, Domingos Martins, Fundão, Guarapari, Iconha, Irupi, Itaguaçu, Itarana, Iúna, Mantenópolis, Marataízes, Marechal Floriano, Mucurici, Muniz Freire, Nova Venécia, Pinheiros, Presidente Kennedy, Santa Teresa, São José do Calçado, Serra, Sooretama, Viana, Vila Velha e Vitória.

Microcefalia

A Secretaria de Estado da Saúde informa, ainda, que entre 22 de novembro de 2015 e 19 de novembro de 2016 foram notificados no Espírito Santo 251 casos de microcefalia em bebês nascidos vivos, natimortos ou em gestação. Destes, 93 permanecem em investigação, 119 foram descartados e 39 foram confirmados para microcefalia.

Todos os casos estão sendo investigados. Vale ressaltar que a microcefalia pode ser causada por diversos agentes infecciosos além do vírus zika, tais como sífilis, toxoplasmose, rubéola, citomegalovírus e herpes viral.

Dengue

Foram notificados 51.848 casos de dengue, entre 03 de janeiro e 19 de novembro de 2016, no Espírito Santo. Destes, 667 são suspeitos da forma grave, 22 são óbitos confirmados e 17 são óbitos sob investigação. No mesmo período, a taxa de incidência da doença no Estado ficou em 1.319,32. Essas informações são enviadas à Secretaria de Estado da Saúde até o dia anterior à divulgação do boletim epidemiológico.

Saiba como se prevenir

– Limpar o quintal, jogando fora o que não é utilizado;

– Tirar água dos pratos de plantas;

– Colocar garrafas vazias de cabeça para baixo;

– Tampar tonéis, depósitos de água, caixas d’água e qualquer tipo de recipiente que possa reservar água;

– Manter os quintais bem varridos, eliminando recipientes que possam acumular água, como tampinha de garrafa, folhas, sacolas plásticas etc.;

– Escovar bem as bordas dos recipientes (vasilha de água e comida de animais, pratos de plantas, tonéis, caixas d’água) e mantê-los sempre limpos.
