Serra inaugura primeiro jardim sensorial municipal do Estado

A Serra inaugurou o primeiro jardim sensorial municipal do Estado. Com 170 metros quadrados, o jardim ajuda a explorar e apurar os nossos cinco sentidos: uma fonte de água, cuja estrutura é feita de bambu; e 58 espécies de plantas com diferentes aromas, gostos, texturas e formas.

O local tem canteiros de 70 centímetros de altura, cada. Esses canteiros são acessados por duas pistas: uma com piso de concreto para possibilitar a subida de cadeirantes; e outra com nove pisos sensoriais, compostos por grama, terra, areia, troncos, terra batida e argila expandida, cascas de madeira, brita e seixos. A obra foi feita em parceria com a Petrobras Distribuidora. Localizado no Parque da Cidade, em Laranjeiras,

“Teremos nove pisos diferenciados, ou seja, a região plantar pode ser trabalhada durante a caminhada pelo labirinto. Eu acredito que vai ser um marco tanto para as crianças, como adolescentes e adultos. É um jardim para todos”, disse o coordenador do Parque da Cidade, o professor e biólogo Nagibi Neto.

Entre as espécies de plantas que poderão ser encontradas no jardim estão: erva-cidreira, capim-cidreira, coentro, salsa, orégano, manjerona, manjericão, cebolinha, Maria-Sem-Vergonha, onze horas, melissa, bambu, espada-de-São-Jorge, dracena tricolor, lírio amarelo, lírio da paz, babosa, alfazema, lavanda, tomilho, azaleia, bromélias, carqueja, alface d’água, citronela, hortelã pimenta, rabo de gato, orquídea, camomila, boldo, cavalinha, ixora, alecrim, cravo, mirra e artemísia, entre outras.

De acordo com o secretário de Meio Ambiente (Semma), Marcos Machado, a proposta do jardim é promover a educação ambiental e a inclusão.

“O Jardim Sensorial é mais um instrumento que vamos utilizar para ampliar as nossas atividades de educação ambiental do Espaço Botânico do Parque da Cidade. Já temos o bromeliário, o orquidário, o jardim de restinga e a sala verde onde acontecem aulas para alunos de escolas públicas e privadas. O jardim vai possibilitar que um público com necessidades especiais também possa aprender mais sobre o meio ambiente. Já as crianças sem necessidades especiais vão poder sentir mais empatia, vão saber como as outras crianças contemplam o mundo, porque serão vendadas e convidadas a explorar a natureza de outra maneira”, explicou.

Qualquer pessoa pode visitar o jardim sensorial. Os responsáveis pelas escolas, grupos e/ou sociedade organizada podem agendar as datas para visitas mediadas e participar das atividades de educação ambiental desenvolvidas pelo telefone (27) 3338-7302 e 99815-6693 das 7 às 17 horas.

O Parque da Cidade fica entre as avenidas Norte Sul e Guarapari, a sua entrada principal é pela rua Anchieta, próximo ao Parque Residencial Laranjeiras e Valparaíso.
