Selo UNICEF é entregue a 8 municípios do Espírito Santo

UNICEF reconhece municípios que mais avançaram em direção à garantia dos direitos de crianças e adolescentes

O Fundo das Nações Unidas para a Infância – UNICEF entregará o Selo UNICEF Município Aprovado – Edição 2013-2016 para oito municípios capixabas. Eles receberão o reconhecimento internacional por seus avanços nas áreas de Saúde, Educação, Proteção e Participação Social rumo à redução das desigualdades que afetam as vidas de crianças e adolescentes. São eles: Colatina, Jaguaré, Montanha, Mucurici, Nova Venécia, Pinheiros, Ponto Belo e São Gabriel da Palha. Outros 8 municípios também receberão menção honrosa por seu engajamento na iniciativa.

A solenidade de entrega acontece na próxima terça (13) no Palácio Anchieta e reunirá gestores municipais e estaduais, técnicos e adolescentes no Palácio Anchieta, em Vitória, e contará com a presença do representante do UNICEF no Brasil, Gary Stahl. O evento faz parte do encerramento desta edição do Selo UNICEF Município Aprovado no Semiárido, que acontece em 10 Estados. No Espírito Santo, a iniciativa é realizada em parceria com o Governo do Estado, por meio da Vice-Governadoria e da Coordenação de Políticas Intersetoriais.

Resultados

Em todo Semiárido, 1.502 municípios foram convidados em 2013 a aderir a iniciativa, dos quais 1.134 se inscreveram e 658 seguiram na iniciativa até 2016. Os 308 municípios certificados integram o grupo dos que mais se destacaram, realizando pelo menos 70% das ações previstas na metodologia do Selo UNICEF. No Espírito Santo, 27 municípios foram convidados a participar em 2013, sendo que 25 aderiram à iniciativa. Após quatro anos, 8 municípios recebem agora a certificação. Outros 8 municípios também receberão menção honrosa por seu engajamento na iniciativa.

Em comum, esses 16 municípios capixabas fortaleceram as políticas públicas orientadas à infância e à adolescência e deram especial atenção a ações integradas entre as áreas de saúde, educação, proteção e assistência social das gestões municipais e estaduais para se alcançar resultados. Sobre o Selo UNICEF Município Aprovado – O Selo UNICEF Município Aprovado é uma metodologia do Fundo das Nações Unidas para a Infância – UNICEF para estimular os municípios a implementarem políticas públicas para diminuir as desigualdades e garantir os direitos das crianças e dos adolescentes previstos na Convenção Internacional sobre os Direitos da Criança e no Estatuto da Criança e do Adolescente (ECA).

A metodologia desta edição inclui Ações Estratégicas (o que os municípios precisam realizar) e Indicadores de Impacto Social (os resultados que os municípios precisam melhorar) que envolvem sete direitos: de sobreviver e se desenvolver; de aprender; de proteger-se e ser protegido do HIV/AIDS; de crescer sem violência; de ser adolescente; de ser prioridade nas políticas públicas; e de brincar, praticar esportes e se divertir. O UNICEF capacita gestores e técnicos das secretarias municipais para qualificar a elaboração e execução das políticas públicas e para estimular que elas continuem mesmo após o fim de cada edição.

Atualmente, o Selo está na sua quarta edição, na qual se inscreveram mais de 1.700 municípios na Amazônia e no Semiárido. A iniciativa conta com o apoio de parceiros como Petrobras, VIM, Fundação Telefônica, Coelba, Celpe, Cosern e Enel. No Espírito Santo, a iniciativa é realizada em parceria com o Governo do Espírito Santo, por meio da Vice-Governadoria e da Coordenação de Políticas Intersetoriais.
