Roubo de carga custou R$ 6,1 bilhões ao Brasil em seis anos, diz Firjan

Os roubos de carga custaram R$ 6,1 bilhões à economia brasileira entre 2011 e 2016, divulgou nesta quinta (16) a Federação das Indústrias do Estado do Rio de Janeiro (Firjan). O prejuízo chega a R$ 3,9 milhões por dia com as ocorrências que se concentram principalmente nos estados do Rio de Janeiro (43,7%) e de São Paulo (44,1%).

As perdas causadas por esse tipo de crime têm crescido ano a ano, assim como o número de casos registrados, que aumentou 86%, de 12 mil em 2011 para mais de 22 mil no ano passado.

O presidente da Firjan, Eduardo Eugênio Gouveia Vieira, disse que as transportadoras têm exigido taxas extras que chegam a 1% nos casos de produtos com destino ao Rio de Janeiro. Segundo Vieira, grandes empresas têm considerado desistir de chegar ao estado. No Rio de Janeiro, a incidência do roubo de carga passa de 50 casos por 100 mil habitantes.

“Chegamos a níveis intoleráveis, cifras vergonhosas. Ano passado batemos todos os recordes.” Em 2016, os prejuízos com o roubo de cargas chegaram ao valor recorde de mais de R$ 1,4 bilhão, quase o dobro dos R$ 761 milhões registrados em 2011. Os números contabilizados pela Firjan desconsideram os estados do Acre, Amapá, Pará e Paraná, cujos dados não foram obtidos pela pesquisa.

Para enfrentar o problema, a Firjan propõe um movimento nacional contra o roubo de cargas, com ações articuladas entre estados, municípios e governo federal e Legislativo.

Os industriais pedem penas duras para os crimes de roubo de cargas e receptação e consideram importante contratar mais policiais para recompor os quadros das corporações. Proibir a venda dos bloqueadores de sinal de radiocomunicação é outra medida proposta, já que os equipamentos têm sido usados pelas quadrilhas.

As consequências do crescimento desse crime têm sido o encarecimento dos seguros, taxas extras cobradas pelas transportadoras e repasse dos custos ao consumidor. Com a venda ilegal dos produtos, também ocorre sonegação de impostos, reduzindo a arrecadação do estado.

Em dezembro do ano passado, o Ministério da Justiça criou o Comitê de Combate a Furtos e Roubos de Cargas, que reúne empresários, trabalhadores e membros do Poder Público para levar propostas ao governo. O presidente do comitê, Adilson Pereira de Carvalho, pediu a participação da indústria na discussão.

“O setor de [transporte de] cargas não é um oásis, não é algo apartado do Brasil. Ele sofre como sofrem todos os outros setores da sociedade.”
