O processo de captação de água no Sistema de Abastecimento Reis Magos começou nesta quinta (18). Este processo consiste em intervenções para abertura do Canal de Captação com o Rio Reis Magos, no município da Serra, seguido das etapas de testes da estação.
O canal – que possui 500m de extensão a céu aberto revestido em concreto – será aberto para direcionar o fluxo de água do rio até a Estação Elevatória de Água Bruta.
O diretor-presidente da Cesan, Pablo Andreão, ressaltou a importância da obra. “Não foram medidos esforços para sua execução, sendo que o sistema entra agora em início de testes para operação”, afirmou. O objetivo sempre foi que Reis Magos estivesse operando no ano de 2017.
A abertura do canal de captação com o rio Reis Magos ocorre para a equalização do fluxo de água. Após a estabilização do nível d’água, será realizada a limpeza do material carreado do rio, a fim de garantir condição para partida das bombas da estação elevatória, que é a próxima etapa do processo de colocação do sistema em operação.
O Sistema Reis Magos consiste na captação de água no rio, adutora e elevatória de água bruta, estação de tratamento, reservatório de cinco milhões de litros, elevatória e adutora de água tratada de 15 quilômetros, com diâmetro de 700 milímetros, que alimentará o reservatório localizado em Serra Sede, tudo já interligado.
O novo sistema tem importância fundamental para a segurança hídrica da Grande Vitória, pois vai reforçar o abastecimento do município de Serra com uma produção inicial de 500 litros de água por segundo. Vale ressaltar que a obra, inicialmente, estava prevista para 2020 no Plano Diretor de Água da Cesan.
“Na sequência será realizada a partida e comissionamento das unidades de bombeamento que irão permitir a realização dos testes de estanqueidade da Estação de Tratamento e do Reservatório. Após estes testes, será iniciado o período de pré-operação com o bombeamento da água no sentido do Reservatório de Serra Sede para lavagem e testes dos 15 km de adutora de água tratada”, afirma o gestor Luiz Cláudio Rodrigues, gerente da Região Metropolitana Norte da Cesan.
Para Joelma Gregório, líder comunitária de Putiri, o sentimento é prazeroso, pois saber que teremos água limpa, pra usar no dia a dia, é um sonho realizado, “como acabei de falar com o governador em exercício, César Colnago. É tudo que a comunidade precisava, pois Putiri tem tudo, tem escola, tem unidade de saúde, e só precisávamos do principal, que é a água! Agora, o principal a gente tem! Graças a Deus e ao nosso governador, que nos trouxe este benefício”, ressaltou.
O investimento soma R$ 70 milhões e vai beneficiar diretamente 150 mil pessoas e indiretamente 700 mil, considerando que diminuirá a sobrecarga sobre o Sistema Santa Maria da Vitória. O sistema beneficiará a região de Serra Sede e entorno, com influência inclusive na região do Civit.
Esse investimento, que teve financiamento do Banco Nacional de Desenvolvimento Econômico e Social (BNDES), está conectado com um conjunto de ações e medidas desenvolvidas pelo Governo do Estado na busca por soluções e alternativas para otimização, preservação e aumento de produção dos recursos hídricos, conferindo melhor segurança hídrica para a Grande Vitória.
