Para conscientizar a população neste 18 de maio, Dia Nacional de Combate ao Abuso e à Exploração Sexual de Crianças e Adolescentes, organizações sociais – a Childhood Brasil, Fundação Abrinq, Liberta e Plan International Brasil – e a Secretaria Nacional dos Direitos da Criança e do Adolescente se uniram para promover ações sobre o tema, como seminários, flash mob (aglomerações instantâneas de pessoas), estudos e a distribuição de material.

Nos anos de 2015 e 2016, a Ouvidoria Nacional dos Direitos Humanos, por meio do Disque 100, recebeu mais de 37 mil denúncias de violência sexual na faixa etária de 0 a 18 anos, o que corresponde a 10% das ligações feitas à central telefônica.

Os crimes de abuso sexual (72%) e exploração sexual (20%) foram os casos mais citados nesse levantamento. As demais ligações estavam relacionadas a outras violações como pornografia infantil, sexting (divulgação de conteúdo por meio de celulares), grooming (tentativa do adulto para conquistar a confiança da vítima), exploração sexual no turismo e estupro.

Sobre o perfil das vítimas, a maior parte delas é formada por meninas (67,69%), seguida por meninos (16,52%) e não informados (15,79%). Homens (62,5%) e adultos de 18 a 40 anos (42%) são apontados como autores da maioria dos casos.

Cerca de 40% do total de denúncias eram referentes a crianças de 0 a 11 anos. As faixas etárias de 12 a 14 anos e de 15 a 17 anos correspondem, respectivamente, a 30,3% e 20,09% das denúncias. No ano passado, os estados de São Paulo, Minas Gerais, da Bahia, do Rio de Janeiro e Rio Grande do Sul foram os cinco que lideraram o ranking das mais de 14 mil denúncias feitas por meio do Disque 100.

“Enfrentar a questão da violência sexual contra crianças e adolescentes é encarar de frente o desafio de uma mudança profunda em nossa cultura”, disse Claudia Vidigal, secretária nacional dos Direitos da Criança e do Adolescente. “É um crime hediondo que, muitas vezes, é banalizado e quase naturalizado em nossa sociedade. Por isso, realizaremos seminários técnicos, campanhas e diversas ações nos quatro cantos do país para que todos possamos compor a rede de proteção da criança e do adolescente e participar do sistema de garantia de direitos”.

A data foi instituída pela Lei Federal 9.970/00, remetendo ao 18 de maio do ano de 1973, quando a menina Araceli Crespo, de 8 anos, foi sequestrada, violentada e cruelmente assassinada em Vitória, no Espírito Santo. Apesar do crime de natureza hedionda, os agressores da menina nunca foram punidos.

O programa Na Mão Certa, da Childhood Brasil, tem o objetivo de sensibilizar os motoristas de caminhão para que atuem como agentes de proteção dos direitos de crianças e adolescentes nas estradas. As concessionárias CCR ViaOeste e CCR RodoAnel, ao longo deste mês, distribuirão 30 mil folhetos sobre o tema nas praças de pedágio do Sistema Castello-Raposo e Trecho Oeste do Anel. Os folhetos orientam sobre prevenção e como denunciar.
