Guarapari ganha reforço no abastecimento de água

O governo do estado e a Cesan inauguraram nesta sexta (23) um sistema que reforça o abastecimento de água em Guarapari. As obras abrangem a adutora de água tratada de 500 mm de Meaípe, o sistema de abastecimento de água de Araquém e o sistema de abastecimento de água de Guarapari. O investimento no novo sistema de saneamento de Guarapari passa de R$ 35 milhões.

O novo sistema beneficia 103 mil habitantes do município com aumento da oferta de água tratada. As obras contemplaram a implantação de mais de 33 mil metros de novas redes de adução e distribuição, uma nova captação de água no Rio Benevente, estação elevatória de água bruta, estação de bombeamento de água tratada, reservatório metálico com capacidade de 2,5 milhões de litros de água, reservatório apoiado com capacidade para 5,2 milhões de litros de água, entre outros serviços, totalizando 7,7 milhões de litros de água.

As obras complementam o sistema de abastecimento integrado, abrangendo 58 bairros de Guarapari e regiões de Meaípe e Santa Mônica. Além de reforçar o abastecimento de água no verão, as obras preparam a cidade para os períodos de seca, que têm se tornado cada vez mais longos devido às mudanças climáticas e à degradação do meio ambiente.

“Com essa obra importante e robusta, estamos duplicando nossa capacidade de captação de água no Rio Benevente e, ao mesmo tempo, criando uma área estratégica para reservar água, principalmente nos horários e nos períodos onde a demanda e consumo de água aumentam muito, como nas festas de fim de ano, verão e carnaval”, detalhou o governador Paulo Hartung.

O presidente da Cesan, Pablo Andreão, comemorou o aumento da oferta de água em Guarapari, mas alertou para a importância da redução do consumo. “Estamos praticamente dobrando a capacidade de produção de água em Guarapari. Além de reforçar o abastecimento de água no verão, as obras preparam a cidade para os períodos de seca, que têm se tornado cada vez mais longos devido às mudanças climáticas e à degradação do meio ambiente. Por isso, temos que ser prudentes e permanecemos atentos, mantendo os hábitos de controle e redução do consumo de água”, orientou.
