A construção civil demitiu 1,08 milhão de trabalhadores no país desde outubro de 2014, quando iniciou o declínio do número de empregados. Os dados foram divulgados pelo Sindicato da Indústria da Construção Civil do Estado de São Paulo (SindusCon-SP), em parceria com a Fundação Getulio Vargas (FGV).
Segundo o estudo, há 27 meses havia 3,57 milhões de trabalhadores na construção. Em dezembro no ano passado, o total caiu para 2,489 milhões, a 27ª queda consecutiva. O setor fechou 2016 com 414 mil vagas, uma queda de 14,33% em relação a dezembro de 2015. Em relação a novembro, houve queda de 3,63%.
Entre os estados, os que mais demitiram no ano passado foram São Paulo (-97.696), Rio de Janeiro (-77.726), Minas Gerais (-37.694), Bahia (-23.772) e Pará (-21.374). Em 2016, os segmentos que mais apresentaram queda foram imobiliário (17,14%), infraestrutura (-13,96%) e preparação de terreno (13,68%).
Números em queda
No estado de São Paulo, houve queda de 2,70% no emprego em dezembro na comparação com novembro (redução de 18,7 mil vagas). O número de trabalhadores foi de 694,6 mil em novembro, ante 675,9 mil em dezembro. Em 12 meses, são menos 91.899 trabalhadores no setor.
Para o presidente do Sindicato da Indústria da Construção Civil do Estado de São Paulo, José Romeu Ferraz Neto, a tendência é de mais cortes de emprego para os próximos meses. Ele defende que o governo adote “medidas emergenciais para estimular a construção civil”.
