Já a população ocupada (92,2 milhões de pessoas) ficou estável quando comparada ao trimestre móvel encerrado em agosto. Frente ao mesmo trimestre de 2014, esta estimativa teve uma queda de 0,6%, um contingente de 533 mil pessoas a menos.
O número de empregados com carteira assinada ficou estável frente ao trimestre encerrado em agosto e caiu 3,1% (menos 1,1 milhão de pessoas) frente a igual trimestre de 2014.
A taxa de desocupação no trimestre móvel encerrado em novembro de 2015 foi de 9,0%, 0,3 ponto percentual acima dos 8,7% registrados entre junho e agosto. Na comparação com o mesmo trimestre móvel do ano anterior, quando a taxa foi estimada em 6,5%, o quadro também foi de acréscimo (2,5 pontos percentuais).
O rendimento médio real habitualmente recebido em todos os trabalhos (R$ 1.899) ficou estável frente ao trimestre de junho a agosto (R$ 1.913) e em relação ao mesmo trimestre de 2014 (R$ 1.923). A massa de rendimento real habitualmente recebida em todos os trabalhos para o trimestre encerrado em novembro (R$ 169,9 bilhões) também não apresentou variação estatisticamente significativa em ambos os períodos de comparação. Os indicadores da Pnad Contínua são calculados para trimestres móveis, utilizando-se as informações dos últimos três meses consecutivos da pesquisa. A taxa do trimestre móvel terminado em novembro de 2015 foi calculada a partir das informações coletadas em setembro/2015, outubro/2015 e novembro/2015. Nas informações utilizadas para o cálculo dos indicadores para os trimestres móveis encerrados em outubro e novembro, por exemplo, existe um percentual de repetição de dados em torno de 66%
