O plenário do Senado aprovou, em segundo turno, a proposta de emenda constitucional que inclui mulheres vítimas de violência doméstica como beneficiárias de programas sociais previstos na Constituição.
A PEC tem por objetivo proteger mulheres que, ao deixarem os maridos em razão da violência, passam por dificuldades financeiras. O texto iguala as mulheres nessas condições às crianças e adolescentes em situação de vulnerabilidade e estabelece que elas devem receber ajuda independente de terem contribuição previdenciária.
O texto já tinha sido aprovado em primeiro turno ontem (15) e em ambas as votações foi aprovado pela unanimidade dos senadores presentes em plenário. A matéria segue agora para a Câmara dos Deputados, onde também será votada em dois turnos, além de tramitar nas comissões da Casa.
