Pesquisa sobre o perfil de pessoas com 50 anos ou mais indica que 36% estão presentes no mercado de trabalho. Desses, 36% trabalham por conta própria, 32% são empregados do setor privado, 15% são funcionários públicos, 9% são domésticos e 8% empregadores. Os dados foram apresentados, em São Paulo, pelo Instituto Locomotiva.
Segundo o levantamento, 36% têm sua renda vinda da aposentadoria e 51% dependem da renda do trabalho. Entre os que estão no mercado de trabalho, 35% têm medo do desemprego.
“No momento em que se discute a mudança da aposentadoria, que os governantes se preocupem com a empregabilidade das pessoas com 50 anos ou mais. Do contrário, parece que eles são culpados pela situação ruim que vivemos atualmente”, disse Renato Meirelles, presidente do instituto.
Apesar de atuantes no mundo corporativo, 81% acreditam existir preconceito contra os mais velhos. Entre os entrevistados, 65% responderam que trabalham mais que 30 horas semanais e 55% acreditam que trabalham numa intensidade igual ou maior do que anos atrás.
Na vida pessoal, 61% acreditam que a vida hoje está melhor do que há 10 anos e 69% avaliam o Brasil como ótimo lugar para se viver. Além disso, 47% viajam igual ou mais que há 10 anos.
Saúde preocupa 70%
Entre o público na faixa etária acima de 50 anos, um quarto tem plano de saúde. O estudo mostra ainda que 70% estão mais preocupados com a saúde atualmente do que há 10 anos, 34% têm medo de ficar doente e 26% admitem medo de morrer.
As pessoas com 50 anos ou mais movimentam R$ 1,6 trilhão por ano. “É o principal mercado consumidor do nosso país, que vai comprar móveis, notebook, tablet, fazer viagens nacionais e que não se enxerga nas propagandas”, disse Meirelles. A pesquisa aponta que 75% do público nessa faixa etária não se identificam com jovens vistos em propagandas de televisão e que 78% dos atores e figurantes têm menos de 50 anos de idade.
A maioria (59%), acredita que paga muitos impostos e 79% avaliam que os impostos são muito mais altos do que deveriam ser. Além disso, 77% preferem ter melhores serviços do que pagar menos impostos.
Mundo digital muda a vida para melhor
A internet mudou para melhor a vida de 87% dos internautas com 50 anos ou mais. Nos últimos oito anos, o Brasil ganhou mais de 4 milhões de usuários nessa faixa etária.
Participar de redes sociais é a maior preferência desse público, com 98% de acessos ao Facebook e 40% ao Whatsapp. O smartphone é preferência de 20% dos mais velhos.
