Os Parques Estaduais, gerenciados pelo Instituto Estadual de Meio Ambiente e Recursos Hídricos (Iema), estarão fechados para visitas no sábado, dia 24, no domingo dia 25, no dia 31 de dezembro e no dia 1º de janeiro. Mas ficam abertos entre terça e sexta normalmente entre 8h às 17h. Com exceção do Parque Paulo César Vinha, em Setiba, que funciona todos os dias.
O Espírito Santo conta hoje com várias áreas naturais que podem ser visitadas e contempladas por turistas e visitantes. Compostas por fauna e flora diversificadas e de grande exuberância, estes espaços trazem atrativos, contendo muita beleza natural e com custo zero.
– Parque Estadual Cachoeira da Fumaça
Localizado no município de Alegre, possui uma exuberante queda d’água de 144 metros de altura, além de trilhas bem demarcadas e de fácil acesso. Ao longo do rio, cascatas e corredeiras encantam os turistas. Sua flora é bem representada pelos jacarandás-de-espinho e a fauna por animais em extinção como a lontra. Nos feriados no final do ano, será possível apenas a entrada de pesquisadores com autorização da administração do parque.

– Parque Estadual de Itaúnas
Situado no município de Conceição da Barra, o Parque de Itaúnas oferece diariamente atividades de ecoturismo, apoiadas pelo Grupo de Condutores Ambientais de Itaúnas, como visitas monitoradas à sede do Parque. São oferecidos também trilhas, passeios de bicicleta e de caiaque no rio Itaúnas, sendo que estas três atividades são pagas. Durante o verão, o Centro de Visitantes ficará aberto até às 20 horas.

– Parque Estadual Forno Grande
O parque fica no município de Castelo, seu relevo é montanhoso e culmina no Pico do Forno Grande, o atrativo da região. Seu centro de visitantes oferece trilhas de fácil acesso que levam à Cachoeira com queda d’água de aproximadamente 30 metros de altura, à Gruta da Santinha, aos Poços Amarelos e ao mirante. O Parque, porém, só receberá o público mediante solicitação prévia em função das intervenções para melhoria de sua infraestrutura.

– Parque Estadual Mata das Flores
O parque localizado no município de Castelo é marcado por sua rica biodiversidade. Sua flora é composta por espécies como Cedrelas, Cássicas, Bromélias e Palmáceas. Gaviões, tucanos, corujas, pacas, entre outros animais também habitam o parque. O principal atrativo da unidade é a trilha com aproximadamente 900m de percurso, que pode ser feita das 8h30min às 15h30min mediante agendamento prévio. O parque não funciona aos finais de semana.

– Parque Estadual Pedra Azul
O parque está localizado no município de Domingos Martins. A Pedra Azul, que dá nome ao parque é uma formação de granito e gnaisse de 1.822 metros de altura e curiosamente a ação de eventos naturais esculpiu parte da rocha em forma de lagarto, algo único no planeta. Os horários de saída para as trilhas são 9h e 13h30min e devem ser agendadas previamente.

Localiza-se em Setiba, Guarapari, e foi criado para proteger espécies de plantas e animais que estavam sendo ameaçadas pelo desmatamento e a extração de areia ilegal. É um local aberto a visitas, pesquisa e conhecimento. No Parque há três lagoas, uma rica vegetação de Mata Atlântica litorânea com manguezais, mata de restinga, planícies cactáceas, entre outras. Para realizar a descida até a lagoa deve-se chegar até às 15h30min.
