Mangueira e Portela despontam em mais uma noite de problemas na Sapucaí

Em mais uma noite de problemas com carros alegóricos e feridos na Marquês de Sapucaí, Mangueira e Portela conseguiram encerrar os desfiles nesta terça (28) como fortes candidatas ao título.

A primeira escola que desfilou foi a União da Ilha, que investiu em carros alegóricos gigantes para abordar o tempo em seu enredo, que partiu do mito angolano de Nzara Ndembu. O abre-alas da escola se destacou na avenida, com 18 metros de altura.

O penúltimo carro da agremiação, no entanto, apresentou problemas já ao entrar no sambódromo e acabou causando um buraco no desfile, falha considerada grave se for constatada diante da cabine de jurados. Na saída, mais uma vez o carro dificultou a vida da escola, que teve que correr para encerrar o desfile dentro do limite de uma hora e 15 minutos.

No desfile da Mocidade, o gigantismo retornou e os problemas também. A escola teve dificuldade para manobrar um dos carros na saída da avenida, e, em outro veículo, uma integrante caiu quando o pedestal em que ela estava desabou.

Com belos carros e fantasias que abordaram o Marrocos e também resgataram histórias como As Mil e Uma Noites, a escola conseguiu empolgar o público. Um dos pontos altos foi o tapete voador que decolava de sua comissão de frente, fazendo com que Aladdin sobrevoasse as arquibancadas. O coreógrafo Saulo Finelon comemorou o sucesso do aeromodelo.

“Foi uma comissão de frente lúdica e alegre, com bastante efeito, que causou impacto na avenida. É muito trabalho e às vezes dá vontade de desistir. Aí, no final, dá tudo certo, e a gente vê que vale a pena.”

A Unidos da Tijuca entrou na avenida cercada de expectativas, já que nos últimos anos têm se destacado com boas posições e títulos no carnaval do Rio de Janeiro. Um acidente com 12 feridos, no entanto, pode ter deixado a escola na outra ponta da tabela. O topo de um carro alegórico afundou sobre os ocupantes, e os bombeiros precisaram fazer o socorro em meio ao desfile. A escola lembrou Paulinho da Viola e o samba “Foi um rio que passou em minha vida” e também protestou contra a tragédia ambiental com a barragem da Samarco em Mariana.

O carnavalesco Paulo Barros terminou o desfile em clima de festa com os integrantes da escola.

“Foi um rio que invadiu a avenida”, disse. “Agora tem que esperar as notas, mas, independente disso, a Portela fez um belo desfile e cumpriu o papel dela”.

A Mangueira encerrou a noite com um enredo sobre santos que reúnem devotos no Brasil e emocionou com alegorias poderosas como as de Nossa Senhora Aparecida, Iemanjá e São Jorge.

“Eu não vi o desfile, só brinquei o desfile. Acho que a Mangueira fez um grande carnaval. Eu me diverti à beça”, disse o carnavalesco, Leandro Vieira.

O uso de imagens religiosas já foi motivo de atritos entre escolas de samba e a Igreja Católica no Rio de Janeiro, e o carnavalesco acredita que o desfile da Mangueira em 2017 ajuda a mudar isso. “É o carnaval fazendo as pazes com a igreja. Religião é cultura popular”, disse Vieira, que ouviu gritos de “bicampeã” de integrantes da escola e da arquibancada, já que a Mangueira foi a vencedora do ano passado.

 

Acidente no desfile da Unidos da Tijuca fere 12 pessoas

 

O segundo dia de desfiles na Marquês de Sapucaí também foi marcado por acidentes e problemas em carros alegóricos. Na Unidos da Tijuca, 12 pessoas se feriram com o afundamento de parte de uma alegoria, no mesmo trecho em que ontem (26) um carro da Paraíso do Tuiuti machucou 20 pessoas ao colidir com as laterais da avenida.

O acidente no carro tijucano levou 20 pessoas aos postos médicos do sambódromo. Oito delas foram atendidas apenas por estresse, e, entre as que se feriram fisicamente, nove foram transferidas para três hospitais: Souza Aguiar, Miguel Couto, Lourenço Jorge.

A secretária executiva Viviane Pereira, 37 anos, estava no carro, mas não se feriu e continuou na alegoria até a dispersão. “Escutamos um barulho e sentimos um tremor muito forte, mas achei que fosse algum efeito do carro. Depois, as pessoas começaram a gritar desesperadas para parar o carro.”

Com o acidente, o veículo teve que ser parado para que os bombeiros pudessem socorrer os feridos. A escola continuou o desfile enquanto isso, orientando suas alas a contornarem as laterais do carro alegórico. A narrativa proposta pelo enredo, entretanto, acabou desfigurada pela mudança de ordem.

A escola prestou homenagem a Pixinguinha e Louis Armstrong, imaginando uma aproximação dos dois gênios a partir de um encontro que aconteceu na década de 50.

Quando a São Clemente entrou na avenida, a União da Ilha ainda tentava retirar o carro da dispersão e só conseguiu quando a escola da zona sul já tinha avançado cerca de metade do percurso.

A Mocidade de Padre Miguel foi outra escola que teve dificuldade em retirar uma de suas alegorias do sambódromo. O problema foi parecido com o da União da Ilha, mas foi mais facilmente resolvido.

O presidente da Liga das Escolas de Samba do Grupo Especial (Liesa), Jorge Castanheira, disse que vai haver uma reavaliação dessas questões a partir dos problemas que forem identificados nos desfiles. Ele afirmou que a possibilidade de interromper o desfile diante de um acidente como o da Unidos da Tijuca não existe no regulamento.

“Quando cheguei lá, os bombeiros já estavam atuando e entendi que estava sob controle a situação. E a escola prosseguiu com seu desfile”, disse Castanheira, que considerou o ano atípico. “Vamos analisar caso a caso”.

Segundo ele, a Polícia Civil fará na manhã da próxima quarta-feira uma reconstituição do acidente envolvendo o carro alegórico da Paraíso do Tuiuti.
