ES é o primeiro Estado a bloquear celular sem precisar do IMEI

O Espírito Santo é o primeiro Estado brasileiro a bloquear automaticamente celulares furtados ou roubados, desde que seja  registrado um Boletim de Ocorrência em uma Delegacia de Polícia Civil. A vítima só precisa informar nome completo, CPF e número da linha telefônica. A informação é do secretário de Estado da Segurança Pública e Defesa Social, André Garcia.

O objetivo desta medida é combater os furtos e roubos de celulares, principal alvo dos bandidos nas ocorrências de crimes em via pública e coletivos. Por serem itens de valor pequeno e facilidade em serem comercializados, os aparelhos telefônicos são, preferencialmente, os mais visados pelos assaltantes.

Para o secretário, esta medida terá impacto na redução de crimes contra a pessoa em via pública e em coletivos. “Esta é mais uma ação para reforçar o trabalho que tem sido feito pelas Polícias Militar e Civil no combate aos crimes de menor valor. Reforçamos a abordagem em coletivos e a suspeitos em vias públicas. Facilitar o bloqueio automático dos celulares também fará com que os criminosos tenham dificuldade em repassar os aparelhos furtados ou roubados, que deixarão de ter valor de revenda”, destacou.

A partir desta quarta-feira (02), quem for registrar furto ou roubo de celular não precisará informar o número do International Mobile Equipment Identity (Identificação Internacional de Equipamento Móvel) o IMEI, basta dispor do número do telefone completo (com DDD e 9 dígitos), nome e CPF do proprietário cadastrado na operadora. Caso o solicitante seja uma terceira pessoa, este também deverá fornecer seu nome e CPF.

A busca do IMEI será feito pela operadora do cliente em até 48 horas, e o bloqueio será feito no último aparelho usado pelo comunicante, anterior à data do fato. Caso o proprietário recupere o aparelho, o desbloqueio só será feito na unidade onde ele registrou o Boletim Unificado, as operadoras não têm permissão para desbloquear aparelhos com registros policiais. No caso de roubo ou furto de aparelhos novos, não habilitados, o bloqueio também será feito, porém o IMEI será obrigatório.

Além do Espírito Santo, o Ceará também assinou o termo de compromisso para fazer o bloqueio dos celulares sem a necessidade de informação do número do IMEI. Mas, o Estado nordestino não divulgou quando a medida passará a ser adotada.
