Caminhada Noturna para as ruínas de Queimado

Repórter Capixaba Espírito Santo, Grande Vitória 281

A 6ª Caminhada Noturna dos Zumbis Contemporâneos vai acontecer no dia 13 de março. A saída será da Igreja Matriz, de Serra Sede, e a chegada nas ruínas da Igreja de Queimado, na zona rural do município. O percurso tem 18 km e reproduz o caminho histórico trilhado pelos escravos que recolhiam materiais para a construção da Igreja.

A caminhada começa à zero hora, mas a concentração dos participantes começa às 21 horas de sábado (12), na Praça da Igreja Matriz. No local, serão realizadas atividades culturais como roda de capoeira e sarau afro.

Quem quiser participar tem que se inscrever na Secretaria de Turismo, Cultura, Esporte e Lazer (Setur) da Serra. 300 vagas estão disponíveis. Durante o evento, os participantes farão uma parada para hidratação e descanso no sítio de agroturismo Morro do Céu. Nesse local, além de apresentações folclóricas e musicais, os participantes da caminhada poderão desfrutar de um café colonial.

A Insurreição de São José do Queimado é considerada por especialistas como o principal movimento contra a escravidão ocorrido no Espírito Santo. O fato aconteceu em 19 de março de 1849 quando houve a revolta, segundo pesquisadores, por conta de uma promessa não concretizada de liberdade, feita pelo frei italiano Gregório José Maria de Bene aos escravos da localidade de São José do Queimado, hoje distrito da Serra.

Mais de 300 homens, mulheres e até crianças participaram desta rebelião que foi liderada por Chico Prego, João da Viúva, Elisiário e muitos outros líderes que articularam seu povo para tomar a liberdade com as próprias mãos. Os rebelados foram presos e julgados, cinco deles condenados à morte. Um dos líderes da Revolta, Elisiário, escapou da cadeia e refugiou-se nas matas do Morro do Mestre Álvaro e nunca mais foi recapturado. Chico Prego foi capturado e enforcado, em 11 de janeiro de 1850.  Hoje, nomeia a Lei de Incentivo Cultural do Município.

A 6ª Caminhada Noturna dos Zumbis Contemporâneos é organizada pelo Fórum Chico Prego e realizada pela Prefeitura Municipal da Serra, através das secretarias de Turismo, Cultura, Esporte e Lazer (Setur) e Direitos Humanos e Cidadania (Sedir), e conta com apoio do Conselho Municipal do Negro e da Academia de Letras.
