Antirrábica: população deve vacinar seus cães e gatos em Vila Velha

Repórter Capixaba Espírito Santo, Grande Vitória 290

Vila Velha vai vacinar cães e gatos contra a raiva neste sábado (05) e no próximo (12). A Secretaria Municipal de Saúde calcula vacinar 40.284 cães e 6.380 gatos, meta que ultrapassa o ano anterior, o que demanda esforços para vacinar 5.000 cães a mais que em 2016, que totalizou 35.201 cães e 7.434 gatos.

O vírus da raiva é altamente letal para cães e gatos e pode ser transmitido para os seres humanos através do vírus rábico presente saliva do animal contaminado, sendo também mortal para humanos. Esse ano, o município de Vila Velha já capturou 4 morcegos positivos para a Raiva nos bairros Dom João Batista, Balneário de Ponta da Fruta, Interlagos e Coqueiral de Itaparica.

A vacinação acontece das 8h às 17h, sendo o dia 05/08 focado nas regiões 1, 2, 3 e 4, enquanto no dia 12/08, a vacinação será direcionada à Região 5. Veja aqui os locais de vacinação.
