A Prefeitura de Vitória, através da Secretaria Municipal de Meio Ambiente e Serviços Urbanos (Semmam), multou em mais de R$ 20 milhões a Companhia Espírito Santense de Saneamento (Cesan) por derramamento de esgoto in natura em vários pontos da cidade. A autuação foi entregue pelos fiscais na tarde desta sexta (06).
Uma das multas foi pelo impacto poluidor ao meio ambiente e à saúde humana, por não ter disponibilizado rede coletora para o tratamento de esgoto em 13.634 unidades imobiliárias. A multa, neste caso, foi de R$ 10.910.472,16 (R$ 800,24 por unidade imobiliária, conforme prevê a lei 8.805/2015).
Em outra infração, a Cesan foi multada pelo envio de 806 informações falsas ao Sistema Oficial de Controles dos Dados Interligados de Esgotos à Rede Coletora Pública disponível (Geo-Semmam) nos últimos quatro anos. O valor dessa infração – uma multa para cada dado equivocado – totalizou R$ 9.182.000,36. O valor total das duas infrações é de R$ 20.092.472,52.
A Semmam encaminhará na próxima segunda (09) para a Delegacia de Crimes Ambientais o auto gerador da multa por informações falsas.

De acordo com o presidente da Cesan, Pablo Andreão, a empresa irá recorrer na esfera administrativa e judicial. Segundo ele as multas representam um ato de retaliação à transparência, à Companhia e, por conseguinte, à própria sociedade.
